🗣️ Key Phrases

💰 얼마예요? (eol-ma-ye-yo?) → "How much is it?"
The single most useful shopping phrase. Point at the item and ask.
🛒 이거 주세요 (i-geo ju-se-yo) → "I'll take this, please."
🤝 깎아 주세요 (kkak-a ju-se-yo) → "Please give me a discount."
Works in traditional markets — but not in department stores or fixed-price shops.
👕 입어 봐도 돼요? (i-beo bwa-do dwae-yo?) → "Can I try it on?"

👋 When you walk in

Staff will often greet you with:
어서 오세요 (eo-seo o-se-yo) — "Welcome."
You don't have to reply — a smile or nod is fine.

💡 Markets are great for practicing because vendors are friendly and patient with learners. Start with 얼마예요?, listen for the number, and you'll be shopping like a local in no time. 💛
